Have you used Valve's popular Steam service to install and play games on your Mac? If so, you may be wasting a lot of hard drive space. Steam makes it easy to download and play great Mac games. Steam hides your downloaded games, though, which makes it easy to waste dozens or hundreds of GB of hard drive space. I pre-purchased this game on Steam, so i played it when it was still beta. I haven't played it in a while but last night i started it again. I noticed i couldn't activate full screen in the options (by now i've read in a support topic that it's because of Win XP). I thought this was because i had the beta version and it wasn't compatible somehow with the release version. So i decided to simply delete local content and re-install. But during install i get this error message 'not enough disk space', when a few steps earlier it clearly said i have 174307MB free and the game requires 259MB. What's going on here? Is it a Steam problem or a Don't Starve problem? At the moment i can't play this game at all. As i said, i'm playing on Win XP. Originally posted by:Ok, i was looking through other forum threads and found something that i thought might help. I deleted the Steam steamapps downloading 219740 folder (219740 is Don't Starve, each Steam game has its own number) and restarted Steam. Now it works again. ![]() (still no luck playing in full screen though). Leaving the thread here in case someone else has the same problem. I am having the same problem with Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. Except when I delete the folder it does not fix the problem. This is gonna sound really stupid, but I was having trouble opening garry's mod and getting various errors as i tried different things. Corpse party psp rom. I got so frustrated that I deleted all of steam and tried reinstalling it, but when i started reinstalling garry's mod, it kept telling me i didn't have enough disk space when i was putting it on a 1/4 full terrabyte hard drive. I looked at this thread and tried all of the above then i realized one thing I DIDN'T try was simply restarting my computer. Rebooted it and everything seems to be working great lol. Okay, so I had to uninstall the game today due to a messup with the AV, it wouldn't properly update. (Why does this game have some many false positives?) So I backed up my present files, and uninstalled the game. However, when attempting to install the game, Steam says 'Not enough disk space' and this is certainly not true. I've got over 450 GB free space. And no, Steam hasn't gone crazy either, it can download other games larger than War Thunder without saying no space. I really need some help here. In adition: You may restart steam and/or run it as administrator, also worth to be aware the installation is being stored on the correct hardrive (if more are installed) and on the correct partition (if the hardrive has partitions and/or limited on size). I've even restarted the computer, and the backup is stored in an external HDD which is not even plugged in while trying to do the clean re-install. Here is the VMware Free Download For Mac OS. It can perfectly start installing, say Max Payne 3, which is 33 GB though. Then it's still related to BitDefender blocking something (even though it's disabled) i assume - this has in fact been reported by other users as well (though i still cannot really believe it ^^) you should add the War Thunder folder to the exception list in BitDefender, then restart the PC and try again. The only other suggestion that obviously has worked for people with this problem was to completely uninstall BitDefender (and personally i absolutely hate doing this because that's not the way it should be =/). You probably already tried but i still want to highligh this, is regarding the path location where the game is installed, so have you already tried another location?
